AI for working with documents
A forty-page contract, a report, a manual, a sales spreadsheet — attach the file to a message and the model reads it in full. Ask about the content, request a summary, a comparison of versions, a list of risks or a draft reply — all in one chat.
- Formats
- PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT, MD; CSV and Excel where spreadsheet analysis is enabled
- Tasks
- Summary, Q&A, search, comparison, brief
- Context
- Long documents thanks to large-context models
How it works
- 1
Attach the file
Drag the document into the chat or press “Attach document”.
- 2
Set the task
“Summarise”, “find the clauses about payment terms”, “make a table of the key figures”.
- 3
Refine in the thread
The document stays in the thread — ask the next questions without re-uploading.
Benefits
- Works with PDF, Word, plain text and Markdown; CSV/Excel where spreadsheet analysis is enabled
- Models with up to a million tokens of context — long documents are read whole
- Rapir shows the document fragments an answer relies on
- Several documents in one thread — compare them
- Documents live in your account; a thread and its files can be deleted
What you can do with a document
The most common jobs are a short summary and questions about the content. The model is just as good at pulling structured data: dates and amounts from a contract, metrics from a report, the list of requirements from a spec. From a CSV or Excel sheet you can ask for a summary, anomalies or a calculation.
- A summary at the length you need: one sentence, a paragraph, a page.
- A checklist review: which items are present, which are missing.
- Translation and plain-language rewriting of dense text.
How to get a precise answer
Be specific and ask the model to say where in the document the answer comes from. For long files use a large-context model — Rapir tells you if a file does not fit. If you need fresh external data for comparison, turn on web search in the same message.
FAQ
PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT and MD; CSV and Excel spreadsheets are accepted where spreadsheet analysis is enabled. A file is attached to a message the same way as an image.
